The casting plant of the American company Alcoa in Soest (NRW) has been sold. Since 1 May 2010 renamed the die casting factory with 250 employees or under BDW Soest. The abbreviation stands for Bayerische BDW die casting plants. The U.S. aluminum producer Alcoa responded with a series of sales to the consequences of the ongoing economic crisis.
Dirk EO Westerheide, the managing partner of BDW Technologies from the Bavarian Swabia market has taken over the work. Michael Weller's new managing director of BDW in Soest. The foundry claims to previously posted an annual turnover of 25 million euros "in horrendous losses" (Dirk Westerheide).
